Making Democracy Work

Women's Equality Day Celebration 2015

95th Anniversary of the passage of the 19th Amendment & the 70th Birthday of our local League. Celebration 2015

Historic Celebration a Big Success!

What an inspiring and fun evening on Friday, August 28, 2015, as more than 160 community members, friends, honored guests, and League members gathered at the Corpus Christi Country Club for an "historic celebration." The event marked the 95th anniversary of the passage of the 19th Amendment, which gave women the right to vote, AND the 70th anniversary of the founding of the League of Women Voters-Corpus Christi. Follow this link, Celebration2015, to view a copy of the program booklet. Special thanks to our signature sponsor, our table sponsors, silent auction donors, and those who placed advertising in the booklet.
